Minh is a professor of design and
photography at Edmonds Community
College just outside of Seattle,
Washington. His real world
experiences as a art director and
producer resonate in his lectures
and assignments. He brings 16
years of leadership experience
of owning a creative studio that
worked within the advertising and
magazine industry to his role as
the department co-chair for the
Visual Arts. Outside of the classroom,
his passion for visual communications
is translated into documentary
photography projects and art
installations that addresses cultural
and social identity.

Minh began his career in 1991 as
an editorial photographer while
attending St. Edward’s University
in Austin, Texas. He opened a
commercial photography studio in
1993 and started making photographs
for advertising and design projects.
After seven years, he moved to
New York City and expanded his
business by incorporating art direction
and graphic design into his repertoire.
He moved to Seattle, WA in 2006 in
pursuit of his passion for teaching the
subjects that he loves: design
and photography.
Growing up in a rural part of
Little Rock, Arkansas during
the 70's and 80's, Minh attended
high school just outside the city
limits. He joined the yearbook
staff during his freshman year
and the following four years was
the beginning of his creative
process that would lead him
to a career in the both the
commercial and fine art arenas.
