![]() After 18 years of working as a designer, photographer, and producer in the advertising and magazine industry, Minh Carrico is tu rning his attention towards a teaching career. In fall of 2007, he began teaching graphic design and photography at Edmonds Community College just outside of Seattle,Washington. Bringing his passion for visual communications and nearly 20 years of real world experiences to the classroom. Minh's tenure track position will continue to resonate his passion for visual communications through the use design and photography. Minh started his career in 1991 as an editorial magazine photographer while attending St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. He opened a commercial photography studio in 1993 and began making photographs for advertising agencies and design firms. After six years, he moved to New York City to further pursue his photography career and began exploring a career in print graphic design. His design and photography clients includes 3M, Atlantic Records, Benjamin Moore Paints, Chris Buck, Detour Magazine, Michel Gondry, Annie Leibovitz, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, MTV, Time Out New York Magazine, and Whole Food Market Inc. Growing up in a rural area of Little Rock, Arkansas during the 70's and 80's, he attended high school just outside the city limits. Where he joined the year book staff during his freshman year. It was the whispering click of the shutter that began his creative passion for visual images. Outside of the classroom, Minh is producing a documentary of still photographs made during his numerous trips to Vietnam. Along with writing a screen play based on his experience of growing up as a Vietnamese-American in Arkansas. |
